Sloss Fright Furnace Closed for 2021 Season
It brings us great sadness that we have to announce that for the first time in 24 years, Fright Furnace will not be able to safely open its doors for the 2020 season.
Sloss, like all indoor haunted houses, cannot operate safely during a pandemic. Health department officials have made this very clear to us. Sloss Furnace was built in 1881 with tight quarters and poor ventilation, which is not conducive to opening during a pandemic.
Fright Furnace is ranked one of the scariest haunts in the Southeast and has the option to upgrade to the Extreme Scream Ticket which allows the actors to interact directly with our patrons. We would not have been able to bring you the scares you are use to while practicing social distancing.
The Fright Furnace family hopes you understand that this decision was one of the toughest ones we’ve made to date. Although this news is sad, we have some exiting news on the horizon.
Stay on the lookout for special announcements and new surprises in the coming months!
